Medical disclaimer
Please read this before applying anything on this site to your own health.
Education, not medical advice
All content on MenoCortex is provided for general educational and informational purposes about women’s midlife neurologic health. It is not medical advice, is not individualized to your circumstances, and must not be used as a substitute for consultation, examination, diagnosis or treatment by a qualified clinician who knows your history.
No clinician–patient relationship
Reading this site, using any educational tool published on it, or contacting MenoCortex does not create a clinician–patient relationship. No one at MenoCortex is acting as your treating physician, and no clinical duty of care arises from your use of this site.
Complementary to your care
MenoCortex is designed to complement — never replace — care from your gynecologist, primary care clinician, menopause specialist, neurologist and other clinicians. Decisions about medication, hormone therapy, testing and treatment should be made with a clinician who can examine you and review your full history.
No diagnosis
This site does not diagnose conditions. It contains no diagnostic algorithm and no AI medical chatbot. Any educational assessment tool published in the future is intended to help you organize your own observations for discussion with a clinician, not to produce a diagnosis or treatment recommendation.
Medications and treatments
Never start, stop or change a prescribed medication based on content from this site. Descriptions of treatment classes are general and do not account for your other conditions, medications, allergies or risk factors.
Accuracy and change over time
Medical evidence changes. We aim to reflect current professional society guidance and high-quality research, and we revise pages as evidence changes, but we make no warranty that all content is complete or current at the moment you read it. Where evidence is uncertain we say so rather than resolving it artificially.
Emergencies
Do not use this site in an emergency. If you have sudden weakness, facial droop, trouble speaking, sudden vision loss, the worst headache of your life, a seizure, chest pain or difficulty breathing, call your local emergency number or go to an emergency department immediately.
